My roomate and I decided to recycle EVERY empty can instead of just throwing them out with the rest of the trash. I did some research and each can is worth 1 cent. When we throw away cans, its not just throwing away 1 cent. Recycling empty cans ultimately conserves energy. Thanks to this webpage I found, I convinced my roomate to help me to better the environment by recycling empty cans and hopefully it'll make you think as well.
